Established in 2011, Serious Lunch now concentrates on the worldwide distribution, formatting  and funding of a select portfolio of children’s and family programming with an emphasis on brand management.   We represent Maverick, Hat Trick, Toff Media, Studio Ghibli, Saltkrakan (The Astrid Lindgren Company) and Dot to Dot Productions.

Genevieve has worked in children’s  television entertainment for over 25 years and has 10 hard won Executive Producer credits to her name including ‘Horrible Science’,  ‘Messy Goes to  Okido’ and ‘Angelo Rules’.   She is both CEO of Serious Lunch, a television distribution company, and CEO of Eye Present, a large  IP development and animation studio also in based in London. 


Genevieve  is also well known for  founding  CAKE Entertainment in 2001 which she  sold to Zinkia in 2011.  She is an expert in funding children’s and family programming and  has a passion for developing and rolling out  multi platform programming internationally, notably ‘Total Drama Island’ .  She is currently sourcing new titles to distribute and new  I.P with unique provenance including ‘Xephos & Honeydew: The Yogscast’ and ‘Flix’ her latest production projects.


Her  distribution company and the studio studio offers an incredible mix of creative skills coupled with an unrivalled ability to raise finance from a mix of broadcast, distribution,  public and private funding.

Genevieve is also CEO of Eye Present a London based animation studio which develops and produces children’s and family intellectual property with unique provenance. Eye Present is a joint venture with Squint/Opera.




To spearhead the growth of the company, Serious Lunch has tapped industry expert Leila Ouledcheikh for the newly created position of Director of Global Sales. Since 2001 Leila has demonstrated a strong on-going professional career in the media industry, with a consistent record of selling unique brands such as Power Rangers, Barbie, Transformers and Bob the Builder, to name a few.

Leila is based in London but originates from France. She has broad and comprehensive experience in the exploitation of kids IP and rights management, with a focus on TV distribution and strategic brand building across Consumer Products, Retail and Marketing.

Leila began her career at HIT Entertainment and subsequently held senior roles at London based Entertainment Rights and CAKE where she previously worked for Genevieve. Most recently, Leila served as SVP of EMEA Distribution and Consumer Products at Saban Brands until 2018, where she oversaw the EMEA operations with a focus on Power Rangers. 



Rick Roper Operations Manager at Serious Lunch

Rick has worked as a Director of Operations across all aspects of the television distribution business since 2003 when he joined CAKE Entertainment. He has rejoined Genevieve at Serious Lunch and is a key member of the team, looking after the technical fulfilment of all distribution contracts and providing valuable client liaison. Rick also looks after the marketing of each of Serious Lunch’s titles as well as library management.

Kate joined Serious Lunch from all3Media International and prior to that FremantleMedia. Kate works with the sales team to follow up on leads, fix appointments and conclude contracts. She is also responsible for designing pitch materials and maintaining the rights management system.
